Krasnodar Territory is going to increase exports to Africa and Middle East

This was announced by Vice-Governor Andrei Korobka at the International Agricultural Congress Asiaexpo 2023, which opened in the Sirius Park of Science and Art.

The event is being held for the first time. It is attended by representatives of major agribusiness companies from Russia, Asia, Africa, CIS countries and the Middle East.

The Krasnodar Territory produces enough food for itself and increased exports. Our exporting enterprises are ready to explore new markets, the countries of Africa, India, and the Middle East are of interest. The region also needs new technologies in the sphere of agro-industrial complex, and we consider Asian countries as partners,» said Andrei Korobka.

The Vice-Governor emphasized that the share of finished products in the total volume of agroexports of the region grows every year. The task for the coming years is not only to reach an equal volume of exports of raw materials and finished goods, but also to change this ratio in favor of processed products.

The International Agricultural Congress Asiaexpo 2023 will last until October 27. Within its framework, an agricultural exhibition is held in 19 areas, from livestock to agricultural machinery.

The Krasnodar Territory exports agricultural products within the framework of the national project International Cooperation and Export. According to the national project, by 2024 the region will have to increase supplies to $3.7 billion.
